Kids Ministry

Building today's children to become tomorrow's Church.

Kids Ministry is one of the core ministries of Maranatha Church Thiruninravur. We believe that investing in children today helps build a strong, Christ-centred generation for tomorrow.

Our desire is not only to teach children Bible stories, but to help them understand life-changing Kingdom truths, know Jesus personally, grow in their faith, and develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School is designed for children aged 3 to 16 and takes place every Sunday during the sermon. The children follow an age-appropriate, specially designed curriculum under the guidance of our Kids Pastor, supported by 7 dedicated teachers and 4 volunteers. Through Bible teaching, worship, activities, prayer, and meaningful conversations, we help children discover God's Word and learn how to apply it in their everyday lives.

Our heart is to create a safe, joyful, and Christ-centred environment where every child feels loved, valued, and encouraged to grow in faith.

Village Kids Ministry

Our ministry to children extends beyond the walls of our church.

Every week, our teams travel to three villages to reach children and families with the love of Christ. Through Bible stories, songs, activities, prayer, and personal relationships, we share the Gospel with children who may otherwise have very limited opportunities to hear about Jesus.

Across our Sunday School and Village Kids Ministry, a team of 24 volunteers faithfully serves, teaches, encourages, and invests in the lives of children.

Vacation Bible School

One unforgettable week. A lifetime of Kingdom impact.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is one of the highlights of the year at Maranatha Church Thiruninravur. This specially designed one-week day camp is organised for children aged 3 to 16 every year during the first week of May, at the beginning of the summer holidays in India.

For our children, VBS has become a joyful season filled with Bible teaching, worship, music, games, crafts, activities, friendships, and plenty of fun—all centred around Jesus.

Over the years, VBS has also become an important outreach ministry. Children from different faith backgrounds and communities have attended our VBS, encountered the love of Christ, and continued to stay connected with the life of the church.

Our prayer is that every child who comes through our Kids Ministry will not simply know about Jesus, but will know Him personally, follow Him faithfully, and grow to impact their generation for His Kingdom.
